BIOGRAPHY
Alberto Vázquez Gurrola , better known as Alberto Vázquez, is a Mexican singer and actor who was part of the generation of the golden age of rock and roll in Mexico. He studied painting at the Academia de San Carlos and at La Esmeralda although he never left aside his love for music. From a very young age he participated in school festivals and family parties, and at the age of fourteen he had the opportunity to sing in public at the Alameda cinema because his father was the manager of the site. After performing in cabarets, in 1960, at the age of twenty, he recorded his first LP of ballads and soon caught the attention of female audiences for his deep voice. He also began his acting career in the film A rhythm of twist (1961), and highlights his performance in the film The Age of Violence (1964) and his first starring role in the film Perdóname mi vida (1965). During his more than fifty years of artistic career he recorded more than 100 albums and participated in more than 36 films.
